AUTHENTIC MOOMIN PRINTS FROM 1956

These were the first Moomin themed products Tove Jansson gave permission to manufacture, year was 1956.

Limited and numbered series for Tove Jansson and Moomin enthusiasts.

Rediscovered recently from an archive and now available first time for the public after 1956. Very rare.

The authenticity of the prints were verified together with the Moomin Museum before exhibition and confirmed that these are the first commercial Moomin prints ever. Printed by Helsinki Kromipaino in 1956.

They were exclusively printed for Stockmann luxury department store in Helsinki and NK Stockholm in 1956 to be used for the first commercial Moomin products.

Series are now after discovery exhibited in several toy and cartoon museums around the world like Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, Moomin Museum and Moomin Characters.
